Usher Explains Why Justin Bieber's Super Bowl Halftime Show Reunion 'Didn't Work Out

As electrifying as Usher's Halftime Show performance at the 2024 Super Bowl was, fans couldn't help

but be disappointed that the much-anticipated Justin Bieber reunion did not take place Sunday (Feb. 11) at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

However, in a recent interview, the 45-year-old musician admitted that he did, in fact

invite Bieber to join him on stage - before clarifying why an appearance by his former protégé was not planned.

"It didn't work out with Justin," Usher told iHeartRadio's Breakfast Club on Friday (February 16th).

"I honor and recognize that my brother; I believe he is simply wanting to convey a different story right now.

And I understand that."But, we did have a brief conversation," the "Yeah!" singer revealed.

"We plan on doing something else in the future. There was no love lost, or anything like that. There's a lot of pressure for the Super Bowl, certainly."

Usher also prophesied that in a few years, the "Peaches" musician would headline the big game.

Though Bieber did not accompany Usher on stage at the Super Bowl, he did watch from the stands at Allegiant with Hailey Bieber.
