Taylor Swift Was Dubbed a Government 'Asset' in a Fox News Conspiracy Theory. The Pentagon had the perfect response.

The Pentagon lost no time shooting down Jesse Watters' on-air assertion that Swift may be "a front for a covert political agenda"

The Pentagon had little patience for Fox News anchor Jesse Watters, who claimed that the Department of Defense had discussed making Taylor Swift a "asset" for its psychological operations section.

During Tuesday's episode of Jesse Watters Primetime, the conservative talk show host suggested that the pop star, who recently collaborated with nonpartisan organization Vote.

org to promote voter registration, could be "a front for a covert political agenda," asking his viewers:

"Have you ever wondered why or how she blew up like this?"

Watters then presented a tape from a NATO-sponsored 2019 conference in which a presenter refers to Swift as an example of a powerful individual, stating, "Yeah, that's true.

The Pentagon psyop team lobbied NATO on using Taylor Swift as a tool in countering disinformation online.

After the video aired, Pentagon spokesman Sabrina Singh mocked Watters' bizarre assertions

telling Politico that "as for this conspiracy theory, we are going to shake it off" - a reference to Swift's smash 2014 track.

Vote.org CEO Andrea Hailey also commented on Watters' insinuation that Swift's voter registration efforts are backed by the government, posting on X: "Our partnership with @taylorswift13 is helping all Americans make their voices heard at the ballot box.
