Selena Gomez Hints at Career Change: Dropping Music to Focus on Acting

Celebrated for her performances in the critically acclaimed Disney Channel series "Wizards of Waverly Place" (2007) and for her successful  ,

collaborations on hit songs like "We Don't Talk Anymore," "Taki Taki," and "Calm Down (Remix),"

Gomez thought back on her career path in show business. Even though she loved going on music tours,

she realized that acting was something she could see herself settling into while "Wizards of Waverly Place" was being filmed at the same time.

Even if Gomez had hit albums like "Revival," "Rare," and "Revelacion" (which came out in 2021),

she admitted that her interests had changed. "I was really enjoying touring when I started enjoying myself a lot with music.

However, I was filming "Wizards" at the same time, and I was having a great time," she revealed.

Gomez stated, "I just kept going but the older I get, the more I'm kind of like, I would like to find something to just settle on," expressing a desire to pursue a more settled career as she gets older.
