"Outlander": What might happen in season 7, PART 2 based on the books

The year 2024 has arrived, which is great news for "Outlander" lovers.

The first half of the seventh season of the sweeping time travel drama aired last year, and it's been announced that the second half will air this year.

That could suggest that fans of the show will only have to wait a few weeks or months to see Scottish warrior Jamie (Sam Heughan) and his time-traveling wife Claire (Caitrona Balfe),

As for the rest of season seven, it has been announced that the episodes will follow the events of Diana Gabaldon's seventh and eighth "Outlander" novels.

Although past seasons of the Starz drama adapted a single book, due to the show's shorter, COVID-affected sixth season, season seven will wind up straddling three books.

The first eight episodes addressed events from the sixth "Outlander" book, "A Breath of Snow and Ashes," as well as those from the seventh, "An Echo in the Bone."

Executive producer Maril Davis revealed to Business Insider earlier this year that the second half of season seven will tie up the events of "An Echo in the Bone"

before diving into the action of the eighth novel, "Written in My Own Heart's Blood."

This will allow the writers to devote the eighth and final season of the show to Gabaldon's latest novel in the series, "Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone" (another book is in the works, but it is unlikely to be published before the show concludes).
