NFL fans roast George Kittle for his lack of focus during the 49ers' fumble in the Super Bowl

George Kittle, the San Francisco 49ers tight end, is well-known for his unrivaled energy and excitement on the football field.

He's created a brand around it. He even established a university (for tight ends) out of it.

However, for one little moment in the 49ers' 25-22 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVIII

his on-field banter may have lost San Francisco an offensive possession.

The 49ers were flying on their first drive when standout running back Christian McCaffrey coughed up the ball.

Kittle was in the vicinity after completing a block on Chiefs defensive end George Karlaftis.

But while Kittle was meeting his opponent, Karlaftis realized the football was loose on the ground.

He jumped into action, beating the 49ers tight end to the football.

The exchange was captured on microphones during the latest NFL Turning Point broadcast.

Of course, the 49ers did not lose the game that day. The Chiefs went three-and-out on their next possession and did not score until the last minute of the first half.
