Lakers ‘Checked In’ on $13 Million Veteran Floor-Spacing Trade Target

The Lakers might opt for a smaller addition instead of a blockbuster trade, with Danilo Gallinari of the Detroit Pistons being a potential target for three-point shooting, as reported by Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.

Gallinari, 35, has attracted interest from the Lakers, who are monitoring his price tag, despite his average of 7.5 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.3 assists this season.

Although Gallinari's three-point shooting has dipped slightly to 35.5% this season, he's been shooting 58.3% from deep since joining the Pistons.

The Lakers aren't likely to offer key players like Rui Hachimura or D'Angelo Russell in exchange for Gallinari, as they've cooled on including them in trades.

Austin Reaves isn't available for anything less than a significant addition, as per reports from The Athletic's Jovan Buha.

Gabe Vincent, who's been in trade talks due to his contract and injury, is expected to return to the Lakers lineup by early March, according to Yahoo Sports' Jake Fischer.

Despite the trade rumors, Lakers players like LeBron James and Anthony Davis are focused on their upcoming games and maintaining team chemistry.

Players like Russell remain unfazed by trade speculation, emphasizing their focus on playing and performing regardless of the situation.
