Killer Mike describes the 2024 Grammy Awards battery arrest as a'speed bump' on his historic night.

Killer Mike has finally spoken up about his odd night at Sunday's (February 4) 66th Grammy Awards.

The 48-year-old rapper, born Michael Santiago Render, was detained at L.A.'s Crypto.com Arena shortly before the start of the prime-time

broadcast after collecting three top hip-hop awards at the Grammys Premiere Ceremony preceding the televised show.

On V103's Big Tigger Morning Show on Monday morning (Feb. 5), Mike, who claimed to have been up all night at parties,

appeared to downplay the incident when host Tigger inquired "what happened" on Sunday night. "I won a Grammy," Mike announced.

"We partied all night. Shoutout to my record label. Nothing happened, guy. But we won. "That's it."

Tigger attempted to approach the subject from a different perspective, asking why Mike left the Grammys and returned.

Didn't I look good? I was fresh. Mike responded, emphasizing on his clothes, the automobile he drove there in, and the $400K Cuban link necklace he was wearing rather than discussing the specifics of the arrest.
