Jennifer Garner is in talks to star in Ben Affleck's crime thriller 'Animals'. 

Jennifer Garner may be joining Ben Affleck in his latest film project. 

The actress, who was married to the Oscar-winning filmmaker for 13 years, is in talks to feature alongside Matt Damon in Animals, a murder thriller due to debut on Netflix.

Affleck is directing and producing the film with Damon under their Artists Equity imprint, alongside the company's Dani Bernfeld. 

Brad Weston and Collin Creighton are also producing through their MakeReady production company. 

The pieces are still being put together, including Garner's deal, but if everything works out, the thriller may begin filming in Los Angeles in March. 

The crime thriller, written by Connor McIntyre and revised by Billy Ray, follows a mayoral candidate and his wife when their son is kidnapped.  

Surrounded by several political and other foes, the husband and wife are forced to get their hands dirty in order to save their son. 

Garner, who has demonstrated her flexibility in films and series ranging from comedies to rom-coms to thrillers, is a Netflix
