Dua Lipa Brought Back the Ovary Cutout Trend at the 2024 Grammy

The Grammys are Dua Lipa's stage, both physically and metaphorically. Sure, the pop star will take the stage tonight

to perform at least one of her chart-topping tunes, just as she has done in previous years.

But Lipa steals the show from the moment she walks onto the red carpet every year, from her Versace butterfly dress to her black-and-white safety pin outfit in 2019 (also Versace).

The singer, who is nominated tonight for her song "Dance the Night" from Barbie, walked to the red carpet once more, this time in a handmade Courreges gown.

Dua's silver fringed dress revived the ovary cutout trend she pioneered several years ago,

with two tiny slots below each of her hips and an extreme plunging neckline that slid down to her tummy.

She wore a dramatic Tiffany & Co. white gold and platinum diamond and sapphire necklace and a glittering cocktail ring, and her makeup was loose waves, glossy lips, and shimmering purple eyeshadow.

While everyone expected Dua and boyfriend Callum Turner to make their red carpet debut as a couple, the pop sensation chose her father, Dukagjin Lipa, as her date.

The aforementioned Barbie song has been nominated in two categories tonight: Song of the Year and Best Song Written for Visual Media. Lipa faces some tight competition in both categories

She'll compete with Taylor Swift and Jack Antonoff for "Anti-Hero," Miley Cyrus for "Flowers," SZA for "Kill Bill," Lana del Ray and Antonoff for "A&W," Jon Batiste for "Butterfly," Olivia Rodrigo for "Vampire," and Billie Eilish for "What Was I Made For?"
