Crucial testimony undermines revelations on Trump prosecutors' relationship: Live updates from the Fani Willis hearing

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis faces a critical courtroom battle over her involvement in a case against former President Donald Trump.

Willis is defending against allegations of an affair with Nathan Wade, a special prosecutor she hired for the case.

Trump's codefendant is seeking to have Willis, Wade, and the entire DA's office removed from the election racketeering case.

The hearing marks the first judicial review of whether the relationship between Willis and Wade warrants disqualification.

Willis asserts that her relationship with Wade began only after he was hired for the Trump prosecution and doesn't influence the case.

However, the defense claims to have witnesses proving the relationship predated Wade's appointment.

Willis attempted to block the hearing but was overruled by Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee.

Terrence Bradley, Wade's lawyer in his divorce, refused to testify about any potential relationship due to attorney-client privilege.
